Ohhhh where to begin for this weeks blog. Now that things are beginning to calm down for Bridal everything kind of comes together and the industry begins to grasp what exactly are the trends for the following Spring Season. This years trend setters are (drum roll please): Oscar de la Renta, Anne Barge, Ines Di Santo, JLM Couture, Monique Lhuillier, Edgardo Bonilla, and of course the Lovely Vera Wang. To me all of these designers have created looks that will or have established them as a household names.
Trends:
Flowers, Ruffles, Work within the Fabric, Touches of Color, a combination of Flowy, Femininity, and Structure.
The difference between designers is their ability to create gowns that are all their own, with their own inspiration, something truly unique that places them apart from the ordinary taffeta or satin gown. The key to establishing yourself as a designer is to find or create a niche that has yet to be exposed.
The Martha Stewart Weddings blog does a fabulous job of covering a majority of trend setting designers. Be sure to visit her blog!! :)
