en introduced to Basil Soda who is the fabulous designer that created the cotton candy pink gown that Katy sported on the Red Carpet. Mr. Soda is well known for his intricate details in his embellishments, and his architecturally structured gowns. His gowns are very different than what is typical for the American Evening wear market, they not only create volume but the dress has an attitude of its own. Are you going to wear the dress or is the dress going wear you?? For Celebrities like Katy Perry he is an ideal find because his designs are rather exclusive and cannot be found on every corner. So you are less likely to ever end up on the who wore it best section of Star/People magazine. Designers like Basil Soda are the reason I began writing my blog..... There are soooooo many talented and fabulous designers that are not household names YET, I think it is better to stay ahead and create the trend rather than follow behind it!!!
