Oh My.... Texas Style Blogger Convention

Over the weekend I attended the Texas Style Conference with Magen @ http://www.mapyourstyle.com/, in Austin, TX. It was a really Great weekend full of group activities, and we got to meet so many great fashion and lifestyle bloggers from all over. It was a very informative and fun weekend.
I would just like to do a mini break down over the last three days.

Friday: was the Clothing swap, which was definitely a first for me! I am typically not one to wear clothes more than a few times but since it was our first time to go to the conference we figured we would give it a try. Many girls were very pumped about going in and seeing what everyone had brought to the point where it was like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TwSB779gX4c. hahaha. It was all in good fun and it was great to see what other people brought.

Saturday: Ahhh the Scavenger hunt...... So although I had lived in Austin while I was attending college I never really got to see all of the city. That being said we spent a majority of our time on 2nd and 3rd street and it was so Great at night so many little restaurants and little places to shop.
Anyway so the scavenger hunt was put on the by the company http://www.thegogame.com/team/index.asp. It was basically a series of missions and the activities involved the local stores and every time you finished a mission you received points. The missions involved taking crazy pictures and asking people weird/awkward questions... The whole time our group was playing it kept telling us we were in first place, and we just figured well maybe that's a mistake. Sooooo we finally finish and we are pretty tired by this point because we had been playing for hours. Once they started calling out the winners we started to realize that they started at like 9th place and we had yet to be called. Turns out we did pretty well and got 2nd YAY!! for the LEM group.

Sunday: The Actual Conference began..... It had been a pretty long 2 days so we were very happy to sit and just listen to the speakers. They had many bloggers who were pro(meaning they were sponsored to write) and it was great to hear their take on the industry. Since I am pretty new to blogging it was very informative on how to proceed and make your blog one that people enjoy reading.

It was a GREAT weekend, Thanks to everyone at Texas Style Conference they did a fabulous job putting everything together. Magen and I really enjoyed the whole process.

-Happy Dress Shopping :)
